Hickey Residence Single Family Residence in Cheviot Hills, CA. This is the third home our office has done for this family of four. The first floor is the living area, kitchen, gym, large outdoor patio all with radiant heated slabs and barbeque area. Kumagai Residence Residential Project located in Santa Monica, CA. The house is wrapped around the pool, which is integral to the structure of the building. This house has three bedrooms with a kitchen / dining / living room pavilion that overlooks the spacious yard because the 2,000 sf home is loaded onto one half of the lot. 2005 Architecture, Interior Design
Seliger Residence Residential Project Located in Santa Cruz, CA. This building is set on a former apple orchard. It is a small project, only 1500 sf , that is like a faceted diamond with so many twists and turns that make it a fascinating space to be in that is set in a quite mountain environment. 2007 Architecture
Roberts / Betz Residence This site is the original location of Gold’s Gym where “Pumping Iron” was filmed in the 70’s; in 1985 it was converted to a residential project and my clients bought the building in 2002. The couple wanted to renovate the master suite, kitchen, roof deck, front entry and rear alley entry to better serve their family needs. About 60% of the building was gutted and rebuilt with new skylights and plaster on the facades, being sure to leave the original “Gold’s Gym” sign on the street façade in tact. It was a very successful renovation and received well by the community at the Venice Community Housing Home Tour in 2008 when the roof deck was finally complete. 2008 Architecture, Interior Design
Sinnott Residence Project Located in the Pacific Palisades is for a young family starting on their new life. It has a Grand Living Room, Large Kitchen, Gym, Pool, Two Car Garage and 4 bedrooms at a size of 3,000 sf. Completed Construction April 2013. 2013 Architecture, Design
PAC Canal Residences A Residential Speculative Development Project located in Venice, California. Utilizing the LA City's Small Lot Subdivision Ordinance to create 4 separate units on one lot, each unit totaling 2,500 sf. Developed in 2007, this project was never built. 2007 Architecture
Canal Residence A spec house developed for the Canals in Venice, CA. Developed in 2004. The living space is lifted off the site and hung over the garden area, creating outdoor area for the residence. 2004 Architecture
LOOK Cinema - Dallas A Flagship Cinema Multiplex Combining Movie Theaters with a Restaurant. Completed Construction in April 2013. Located in Prestonwood, Texas; this 50,000 SF Cinema has Dining Theaters, Premium Theaters, Standard Theaters, Concession, Restaurant and Bar Areas. 2013 Architecture, Interior Design
Chalk Preschool - Venice Chalk Preschool is a tenant improvement project for an established Preschool in Los Angeles. The large commercial space was divided into smaller classrooms with specific color schemes. The spaces were unified thru the use of the flooring and cabinetry colors. Samsung C&T America Corporate Offices for Samsung / Caravel. A Fashion & Textile Company located in Commerce, CA. This 50,000 sf facility houses; design studios, manufacturing, offices and a warehouse. 2011 Architecture, Design
Abacus Insurance Brokers This Tenant Improvement in Santa Monica, CA was a complete interior renovation for this company's headquarters. We added a skylight, conference area, and employee kitchen along with space planning for 40 employees using Steelcase furnishings. Completed in 2011. 2013 Architecture, Interior Design
EcoSmart Fire Showroom EcoSmart Fire was looking to redesign their showroom to create more of a living environment for their fireplaces to be experienced in. The concept was to subdivide the showroom into a series of intimate areas to hold consultations with clients and add a coffee bar area for serving. Strange Invisible Perfumes This Flagship Storefront for Strange Invisible Perfumes was created as a place to perform consultations for custom clients as well as handle sales for existing products. This is a narrow space that is accentuated by the long service bars punctuated with seating areas for consultations with clients.
